London-based duo Raime is one of the most interesting acts on the ever-exciting label Blackest Ever Black. A perfect home for Raime’s sound: expressive, pitch-black post-dubstep for fans of The Haxan Cloack and Burial. Raime's music offers a creeping, unavoidable sonic truth, moving steady and relentless from the speakers and weaving vast waves of sound, both beautifully intricate and artfully industrial, around gut-shaking rhythm cycles.
Joining them is another duo: Bristol’s Emptyset (Raster Noton). Working across performance, installation and the moving image they examine the physical properties of sound, through electromagnetism, architecture and process based image making. Emptyset have produced installations for Tate Britain and the Architecture Foundation in London, and presented live performances at CTM, Unsound and Sonic Acts XIV.
The local touch is provided by Nosedrip aka Ziggy Devriendt, creator of the most versatile mixtapes and blessed with an equally wide as interesting taste in music - and a regular on the Artefact stage.
