Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010) is a documentary about the Chauvet Cave, a cavern in Southern France where the oldest human paleolithic paintings were discovered. Herzog is one of the lucky few who gained access to the cave, along with archeologists and researchers.

The inspiration behind the project begins with the painter Brion Gysin's (1916-1986) prototype Dream Machine created in the early 60s upon his return from Morocco.

Artefact is a themed exhibition and festival on contemporary visual arts, current events and societal challenges. In 2017, Artefact looks at the Act of Magic. What does magic mean today? Which role does it play as a social phenomenon? How is it used as a metaphor?

The exhibition includes a lot of works that are also fascinating for kids.

The RAINFOREST workshop, launched by Derek Holzer and Mads Bech Paluszewski-Hau, is a contemporary reinterpretation of David Tudor’s eponymous series of compositions during the 70ies.

An analysis of the relation between science and the public domain as a magic show: science retreats from the public eye, while the public remains both attracted to and blinded by technical ingenuity and spectacle.

How do animals communicate? Which kind of senses do they use? What are they telling each other? How does noise affect their signals? And how do they know that they’re telling the truth?

This workshop will be given entirely in Dutch. 

Self-repairing jeans, an invisibility cloak and clothes that can monitor and display our emotions. These things sound futuristic, magical even, but are not as far-fetched as you might think.
