Lessen voor de XXIste eeuw — De magie van Professor Gobelijn: over wetenschap in de publieke ruimte

An analysis of the relation between science and the public domain as a magic show: science retreats from the public eye, while the public remains both attracted to and blinded by technical ingenuity and spectacle.

As a follow-up of his lecture, Prof. Geert Vanpaemel will facilitate a guided tour through the exhibition Artefact: The Act of Magic for the participants and students of Lessen voor de XXIste eeuw. The guided tours will take place on Tuesday Feb 28 at 19.30, Wednesday March 1, at 14.00 and Thursday March 2, at 19.30. The tour is for free, but your reservation is required via rondleiding@stuk.be with the mention: ‘guided tour Prof. Geert Vanpaemel’ and your prefered date/time. The tour will be given in Dutch.
