Loney Dear

Loney Dear is the alter ego of the Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emil Svanängen. He started recording his own albums in the early 2000s and got a record deal from Sub Pop in 2007. His music is multi-layered yet fragile, at once intimate and bombastic. The Quietus described his work as “…the obsessive work of one man, albeit one that can sing with the vulnerable delicacy of an angel and makes bedroom recordings that sound like God's own orchestra”. He released his most recent, self-titled album in September 2017.
