Sam Taylor-wood is internationally known for her gripping psychological portraits. Her photos as well as her films are an exploration of mankind's physical and emotional boundaries. 'Big themes' like mortality and vulnerability are never avoided.

STUK and ARTEFACT bring a number of her more recent works to Belgium, focusing on boundaries and possibilities of the body in space. Apart form a number of photographs, three films will be projected on monumental screens in the space, including the remarkable 'Prelude in Air'. This is the performance of a cello player who loses himself in a work of Bach, without actually playing the instrument.
