Tour

Jorge Macchi

In the work Tour, three metal structures on a table reproduce the folding lines of three unfolded maps. The countries, the references, the streets and the words that named them have disappeared. We only have the bending lines of paper that used to be a map.

Curator Alejandra Aguado writes about Jorge Macchi: “The power of his work, lies as much in what is said as in what is kept silent. It could be said that his work vacillates between large presences and absences: almost ghost-like, it operates according to what is revealed or vanishes in situations that perplex us.”
