Modern Love Labelnight: Andy Stott + Miles + Millie&Andrea

There’s Andy Stott, who just released a more than worthy follow-up to his phenomenal album Luxury Problems: the equally impressive Faith in Strangers. Bringing together instrumental pieces, field recordings and vocals, Stott gives a familiar and human touch to cold, industrial sounds. 

Then there’s Miles Whittaker, one half of the celebrated duo Demdike Stare. His solo project as Miles focuses on noisy minimal techno. And the cherry on the cake is Millie&Andrea, a gender-bending pseudonym of Miles & Andy. Their collaborative album Drop The Vowels is kind of the best of both worlds, resulting in a dark and thrilling dub techno trip.
