Weibel forms the word 'Luft' (air) with oxygen tablets on the bottom of an
aquarium. The dissolving of the text in the water (which can take as long
as 12 hours to complete) is the text itself. The tablets disappear but the
word appears in another form, which we can read in the water.
Language is a product of civilisation, a medium for human and social
communication. In the video / performance Airtext a language
exists as a natural process. According to Karl Marx the process dissolves
in the product, here the product dissolves in a process.
