Forest Swords is the solo project of Matt Barnes. He returned to the soundtracks of spaghetti westerns and turns them into a melting pot of Burial and Ennio Morricone. Think vintage dub and r’n’b, injected with drone folk and lo-fi pop. Very eclectic, very exciting. Stef Heeren aka Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat put his folky drones aside and turned on his synths and drum computers. His new record Weltuntergangsstimmung sounds like it stepped right of the heydays of new wave.
