The Irrepressibles are often linked to Antony and the Johnsons – no coincidence when you hear singer Jamie McDermott’s powerful, emotional and androgynous voice. However, the band have a very own sound: turbulent and untamable, just like their band name suggests. A description in their own words? ‘Performance orchestra. Iconoclasts. Post-Modern Art Pop colliders. Real emotions no lies. Music for your ears and visions for your eyes. Thoughts about life and hope for tomorrow...’ After debuting with Mirror Mirror, 2012 marked the release of their second album Nude. Live, The Irrepressibles create touching and yet theatrical spectacles that take a pop concert to another level.
